Return & Refund Policy
If something is not right, we want to make it right. We are a small team down on the Georgia coast, and we answer every message like the neighbor down the street would. Take your time, try your pieces on in your own light, and if a piece is not for you, here is exactly how a return works and what you can expect from us.
Our 30-day return window
You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to start a return. As long as you reach out to us within that window, we will take good care of you. Estimated delivery runs 7 to 10 business days, so there is no need to rush the moment your box lands, settle in with your pieces first.
What condition items need to be in
To keep things fair for everyone, returned pieces should come back to us unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition, with any tags still attached. We understand trying something on, that is exactly what we hope you will do. We just ask that pieces have not been worn out, laundered, or altered.
How to start a return
Returns here are contact-first, which simply means we would like to hear from you before anything ships back. Email us at support@ameliajames-savannah.com with your order number, and let us know which pieces you would like to return and why. We will reply with clear return instructions and the correct return address for your order.
Please wait for those instructions before sending anything back. The address printed in our business information is our company and operations detail, it is not a returns drop-off, so items sent there without instructions cannot be processed. One email to us, and we will guide you the rest of the way.
Who pays for return shipping
- If the piece is defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, that one is on us. We will cover the cost of return shipping and set things right as quickly as we can.
- If it is a change of heart, the fit, the color in person, or simply not the one, the return shipping is the customer's responsibility. We will still walk you through every step.
Refunds
Once your return reaches us and passes a quick look-over, we will process your refund within 7 business days to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take a few extra days after that for the money to show up on your statement, which is normal and simply the time banks need on their end.
Exchanges
Because our collection stays small and considered on purpose, the easiest way to exchange for a different size or a different piece is to start a return for the original and place a new order for the one you would like. That way you are not waiting on stock, and your new piece is on its way sooner. If you are unsure about sizing, email us before you order and we will help you land on the right fit.
Items that cannot be returned
A small handful of things cannot come back to us, for reasons of hygiene and fairness:
- Final-sale or clearance items, where they are clearly marked as such.
- Gift cards.
- Items returned outside the 30-day window, or pieces that come back worn, washed, or without their original tags.
If you are ever unsure whether a piece qualifies, just ask us first and we will tell you honestly.
